Here is Spike, in all his glory. We rescued him from a shelter in Lawrence, KS. He came in with another hairless CC, who I placed some months ago. But Spike was sick - so sick that our vet almost thought he had distemper. It turned out to be a REALLY, REALLY bad case of kennel cough. We treated him with meds and I nursed him back to health, for at least eight weeks. When he was well, he was neutered and microchipped. We gave him all his vaccinations when he first came in. Then, I actually placed him with a woman in Omaha. She has birds and had read that CCs are great with birds. What she did not count on is her roommate's dog not liking Spike. Spike is very sweet and very submissive. He is just a big lanky boy, 14 pounds now and looks like a miniature Afghan Hound with his lanky body and long legs. He is adorable, but a high energy little boy. He turned one year old in August.Spike is being fostered in Kansas City, MO
