Let me introduce you to Cocoa Puff! He is 4.5 pounds of dynamite and only eighteen months old. He was released by a breeder who thought he had a skin infection and that was what made him hairless - even though he was born that way! Since there are only chihuahuas on the property, he's apparently not a mix with a hairless breed, but one of the nearly hairless chihuahuas that come along once in a while.He has some trust issues but has come such a long way. He explores all over the house and loves the big dogs (greyhounds) as well as the little ones. He isn't quite ready to come all the way to me when he's on the loose, but is working his way closer and closer. He is going to make his adopter a wonderful pet. He can get quite yippy when company comes, but will settle down in a while.
His housebreaking is a work in progress. As he is so small he may be able to squeeze through the chain link, so he doesn't get to go out a lot. Now that the weather is good, he'll be able to go out in an X-pen so he can enjoy the outdoors. Because of his size, he will not be adopted to a home with children younger than eight-years-old. Puppy mill knowledge or experience is helpful.
