Brandy is an eight-year-old, curly coated Powder-puff Chinese Crested.Although she is retired from a commercial breeding situation, she has none of the socialization issues these dogs usually have. She loves to be petted and loved and will come and ask for attention if she thinks she's not getting enough.
Brandy has been diagnosed with detaching retinas and cataracts, but has no trouble getting around and has not run into anything since being here. This sweet girl is missing her right front leg, but she has mastered the stairs and goes up and down with the best of them.
Brandy loves going out in the back yard to play and she loves all the other dogs here. The largest are greyhounds and the smallest are Chihuahuas. She’s friendly to everyone and loves to ride in the car. She won't be going on long walks with you, but she will cuddle with you on the couch and be your best pal. She is UTD on shots, on HW preventative and spayed.
UPDATE (1 November, 2007)
Brandy is doing very well in her foster home, but wants a home of her very own. She is so happy and energetic you forget she has lost her right front leg. If you start talking to her she will smile and talk back - her tail wags so hard her whole body wags. She dances on her hind legs when her meal is being prepared and has no problems with balance. Her eyesight seems to be about the same as when she came into rescue. Stairs are no problem to her and she knows where everything is in the house.
If you think Brandy is the girl for you, please read our Adoption Procedure Information Sheet before contacting her foster home for information on how to adopt
*NOTE - Brandy is being fostered in Florida
