Tian-Tian has been recently adopted (July, 2007)!UPDATE (19 October, 2007)
Tian and I thought that we would drop by to let you know that she is doing so well! We took her to Petland, a new Petstore that opened near us and she was the center of attention and had no nipping incidents or anything.I have also been shaving her body and her snout and she is looking beautiful, she still has her slender body! I've yet to get a picture of her with her ears up, but the most recent picture was absolutely adorable. She was stretched wide out in Jimmie's guitar case, fast asleep ( I guess that she liked the bright pink velvet interior).
Her, Wonton and Chopsticks are doing fine - they are the best of friends. I notice that she absolutely adores them. She loves to play with Chopsticks more, but she's too much of a diva, so Tian settles for being chased and chasing Wonton.
The visit to the vet went fine and everyone jokes there saying that before you know it I'm going to own all of the Chinese Cresteds in the world! I will never go to another breed that's for sure!
I have been working on tricks with Tian and she sits well, but sometimes she gets excited and forgets! Tian also can lay down and catch the treat/toy in her mouth! I'm working on roll-over right now! I tell you what, getting her to stay was a tough one because she sure loves those treats.
We also took Tian out to Jimmie's mom and dad's house in the country; they also have three dogs, but she loved it out there, running and playing with the other dogs. She is absoulutely adorable.
I sometimes think that the person who abused her was a male because she just tries to avoid Jimmie at all costs - we are still struggling with that issue! I'm sure that it is something that will come.
Tian went swimming at the pool I worked at - she loved it, she was super fast and her little tail didn't stop wagging the whole time! Tian also loves the new hot tub that we got. She begs to be picked up and put in it with her Mom and Dad, so we give in and she just swims in a circle until she's tired (a good 7-10 minutes).
UPDATE (28 December, 2007)
Tian and I were just writing to let everyone know how things are going here. We just celebrated Christmas where Tian, Wonton and Chopsticks got lots and lots of toys. Tian was so cute, I don't think she's ever had a Christmas like this before because she wanted to open the presents before it was time and was very curious about the tree. I also went to Moochie and Co, which is a very high-end pet store here and got them some bakery items for their Christmas dinner. They loved them! Tian was so happy and was asleep by 1:00 in the afternoon, she sure was tired from all of the excitement. She had a belly full of bakery items from the doggy bakery and my husband gave her some turkey too!
She's been doing really well! We've only had one snowfall, so she hasn't been around snow that much. That will definitely be different for her because she's lived in Flordia her whole life. She didn't like it at all the first time that she was around it. It's actually been a really good winter so far. She of course, loves to lay over the top of the heater when it kicks on and everynight when there's a fire she is curled up with Chopsticks by the fire. She absolutley adores Chopsticks; Wonton and her haven't been getting along very well. I think it's something to do with them both fighting for my attention. She doesn't fight with Chopsticks because that's Jimmie's dog and she doesn't care too much for him! She's a momma's girl.
I did get a little dog purse and she absolutely loves getting in there and going shopping with me for the day; just a girl's day out. Of course, she is properly dressed in a cute little pink dress that her foster mom gave her before coming to her new home!
