Hope's Haven - Xiao-Xing (now Nina)

Xiao-Zing has been adopted (8 June, 2007)!

UPDATE (19 June, 2007)

Nina has made a wonderful addition to our dog family! She is sweet, playful, friendly and so much fun to have around. The other dogs have welcomed her in and it's as if she's always been with us. She loves having K9 company every second of the day. I usually find her sleeping with my other Crestie Micah but running outside in the yard has become her new favorite pastime! My vet mentioned that Nina has poor muscle tone due to her terrible beginning, but with all the activity in my house, she'll be in great shape lickity split! Obedience training is going fantastically! Nina is one smart cookie!

It's been less than two weeks, but she has already endeared herself to me and everyone else she's met! I absolutely adore her! Thank you so much to all the wonderful people at Hope's Haven!

UPDATE (October, 2007)

Has it really only been four months? To say that I love Nina is an understatement. I cannot imagine my home without her.

These past few months, Nina has learned how to be a dog! She now plays with her siblings and causes all kinds of trouble! Nina is sneaky and mischievous getting into anything and everything! Watching her slowly learn how to interact with the other dogs has been amazing. She started by first observing them, than moved on to side by side play and finally into full out wrestlemania!

She's become sleek and muscled and is a healthy 9lbs. Frequent trips to the park are now part of her routine. To see her running in the fields and playing in the creek gives me such joy. Her rocky beginning is now nothing but a distant memory!

UPDATE (July, 2008)

Today is Nina's one year adoption anniversary. Although it's only been 365 days, it feels like she's always been with us. Nina has grown and developed into a vibrant, loving and cherished companion. She has an endless curiosity about the world around her and has never met a person that did not immediately become her best buddy. She is nothing but a joy to me and I can't imagine my family with out her.
