George has been adopted (3 June, 2006)!
UPDATE (27 July, 2006)
George is doing great! Although, today while we were out he chased one of the cats up onto the kitchen counter and had him cornered. He has a few scratches on his nose and the cat is outside somewhere hiding. He chases the cats only when they run, which is typical. The one that doesn't run he will sleep with. Go figure. He is so much less timid now, readily gives kisses at dog park and he and Hector have really established a good friendship.
He has also become famous at the dog park for chasing birds - he can really become fixated. It's fun to watch him run like crazy all over the park! He is getting better about bath time and is usually pretty patient with me when I work on his blackheads and acne. I am transitioning him onto a mostly raw diet, with lots of goodies - he likes everything, especially fruit, bananas being his favorite! I don't know how he feels about all this intense heat, but he seems OK! Dog park is just a little more lazy, that's all. He really is a great dog. He even barked to let me know my turtle had got out of her pond the other day!
He is so happy and will be famous on the web soon. Some friends of mine are opening up a Three Dog Bakery next month in San Clemente and Hector and George will be in the gallery on the website! Pretty cool.
