Curly has been adopted (September 2008)!
UPDATE (24 September, 2008)
Just wanted to let you know how our first couple of days have gone with Curly. He is awesome! He is my sidekick and follows me around everywhere. We went for a couple of walks, at least once a day and I was surprised that he did well on the leash (of course we just need to fine tune his skills). Also, we did a little more research on the Internet and learned that we shouldn't let him sniff the baby a bunch, and to train him to be aware of his presence with no contact. So, as he was on the leash I would circle around Trent in the middle of the living room and every time Curly went to smell him or his vibrating chair, I would reinforce my command with a tug. We practiced for about 20 minutes and by the end of our session, I was able to take Curly off the leash and he went right next to Trent and sat down. He had no interest in sniffing him. Of course, we are by no means done, we will practice every day.
