Charlie Chan has been recently adopted and his name has been changed to Elliot!UPDATE
Elliot is loving his new home so far. The cold weather has begun, and he is taking some time getting adjusted to the snow! Elliot enjoys taking walks and playing with his neighborhood friends. He pretends that he is just as big as they are. He loves to go for rides in the car and he does anything for a treat. Recently, the two of us went to "Pet Night with Santa" at the local mall and Elliot got his picture taken with Santa, and of course he wore his Christmas sweater.

UPDATE 2
This past March Elliot and I celebrated our one year anniversary together. I do not even remember what my life was like before I adopted Elliot, nor do I want to! Elliot has changed so much in the past year. Once weary of anyone other than me touching him, he now feigns for attention from my friends, although he is still weary of strangers. If I tell him it's OK, he will let them pet him. He loves the beach and even though he hates the water, if I go in, he has to follow, all 10lbs of him paddling through the waves. It is a sight to be seen. He has learned so many tricks; the latest (and the one I am most proud of) is learning how to 'speak' - for a dog that rarely barks, it took the past year-and-a-half to teach him. Every day, Elliot does something to make me laugh. Hopefully in another year we will have some more exciting updates.
