Athena has been adopted (9 September, 2007)!UPDATE (September, 2007)
Athena was terrific on the car ride home. I had brought a blanket for her so she wouldn't get cold from the A/C and she stayed wrapped up on my lap and pretty much slept most of the way. She took to our children right away and they love her too. She followed my daughter around all night and jumped right up on my son's lap to give him a kiss. Addison (our dog) even liked her right away. He only became concerned (started barking) when she wanted to play bite me, but he calmed down when I assured him everything was fine. By the evening they were rolling on my bed playing together.
My husband really likes her too and she seems to feel the same about him. I totally adore her. She is so funny, prancing around playing with her babies (toys). She just cracked us all up. She also enjoyed the back yard, kind of bouncing across it. It was too cute!
Also, She did the funniest thing when we were almost home. She had been totally quiet the whole way back and when we were almost home we ended up behind someone going very slow, so we slowed down and she looked out at the vehicle in front of us and barked at it, just one bark. It was too funny! We all cracked up laughing. She is really a sweet little girl. She's snoozing now by my side. We all want to thank both of you so very much for everything.
